Participating in the floral workshop for HM 4250: Advanced Event Production was one of the most enjoyable and inspiring experiences of the semester. As someone who loves working with flowers in my free time, I found it incredibly rewarding to create a professional-looking centerpiece while learning valuable tips and tricks from a knowledgeable florist. I especially appreciated learning how to extend the life of roses—advice I’ll definitely apply to my personal floral routine. In addition to the hands-on creative aspect, we also explored the business side by calculating the true cost of a floral arrangement, which offered insight into pricing and industry standards. This workshop combined both creativity and practical knowledge, and has easily become one of my favorite class experiences so far. As a bonus, our floral arrangements were used for the UVU PFP Banquet, which made the experience even more meaningful.
