On January 11, 2025, I shadowed the team at Michelle Leo Events during a luxury winter wedding at the St. Regis Resort in Park City, Utah. As someone passionate about the wedding design industry, I chose this opportunity to gain firsthand insight into high-end event production. Upon arrival, I assisted with setup tasks such as placing linens, name tags, menus, and napkins, while observing the team’s detailed production schedule and asking questions about their design process. The ceremony, held outdoors in the snow, required thoughtful coordination, including placing blankets on guest chairs and prepping the tented reception space. A challenge arose when the bride’s shoes went missing, which allowed me to witness Michelle’s proactive problem-solving and strong leadership under pressure. I was impressed by how well the team prepared for every detail, including bringing extra décor and tools for emergencies. This experience gave me a clearer understanding of what goes into executing a luxury wedding and confirmed my passion for designing and supporting meaningful, beautifully planned events.
