At Glam I Do, beauty and design come together to create unforgettable bridal experiences. What started as my passion for makeup artistry at the age of 15 evolved into a full-scale bridal beauty and design business—offering not just hair and makeup, but also soon-to-offer event styling, floral rentals, and personalized bridal packages.

Building Glam I Do was more than just launching a business; it was a full-fledged UI/UX case study in branding, digital design, entrepreneurship, and seamless user experience development. This journey inspired me to pursue a web design degree—transforming my love for beauty into a structured, user-centric digital presence.

1. Identifying the Problem: The Need for a Cohesive Digital Experience

When I first launched Glam I Do, my biggest challenge was ensuring a smooth digital experience for my clients. The original WordPress website, while flexible, presented multiple pain points:

✔️ Plugin conflicts causing broken features
✔️ Complex scheduling & booking process
✔️ Third-party payment integrations increasing costs and effort
✔️ Inconsistent branding across platforms

A bridal beauty business needs a website that feels elegant, intuitive, and stress-free—just like the services it offers. I needed a platform that was easy to manage, visually cohesive, and user-friendly.

2. The UX Approach: Designing a Seamless Client Journey

Branding & UX Consideration

To create an effortless and engaging user experience, I structured Glam I Do’s digital presence around three key principles:

🎨 Consistent Branding & Visual Identity

  • Typography: Elegant serif fonts for headings, clean sans-serif for body text.

  • Color Palette: Soft pink, taupe, black, and cream for a luxurious yet modern feel.

  • Button & CTA Design: Rounded, inviting buttons for seamless navigation.

💻 Mobile-Optimized & User-Friendly Website

  • Platform Migration: Transitioned from WordPress to Square for an all-in-one solution.

  • Improved Scheduling & Booking: Integrated Square’s built-in calendar & payment system to eliminate third-party apps.

  • Simplified Navigation: Created clear service categories and pricing transparency.

🔄 Multi-Platform Content Strategy

  • Instagram-first Discovery: Optimized content for bridal inspiration and lead generation.

  • Social Media Integration: Ensured seamless booking from Instagram and website.

  • Branded Print & Digital Materials: Price lists, service policies, and email templates with consistent design.

3. Transitioning from WordPress to Square: A Game-Changer

Moving Glam I Do from WordPress to Square was one of the most strategic decisions in the brand’s digital transformation.

Key Steps in the Transition:

1️⃣ Backup & Content Review – Ensured all WordPress content, images, and client reviews were saved.
2️⃣ Rebuilding in Square – Used Square’s website builder to create a clean, functional layout.
3️⃣ Integrated Scheduling & Payment – Enabled direct bookings and secure transactions.
4️⃣ User Testing & Feedback – Collected responses from real clients to refine navigation & features.

The Result? A sleek, intuitive, and conversion-driven website that significantly reduced administrative work and improved client satisfaction.

4. Project Management & Entrepreneurship: Scaling the Brand

Building Glam I Do was not just about design and development—it required strong project management skills:

📌 Scope & Timeline Management – Broke down the launch into four structured phases: Ideation → Branding → Development → Launch.
📌 Task Organization – Used Asana & Google Calendar to track weekly milestones.
📌 Budget Management – Allocated funds for LLC registration, branding materials, website hosting, and marketing while prioritizing key expenses.

💡 Biggest Lesson: Flexibility is key! Plans often change, but adapting to new challenges is part of the journey.

5. Social Media & Digital Materials

📱 Instagram-First Strategy

✔️ Reels & Stories boost engagement, featuring time-lapse makeup looks, bridal prep guides, and client testimonials.

📊 Data-Driven Content Optimization

  • Content Scheduling: Used Instagram & Canva to plan posts and ensure aesthetic consistency.

  • Hashtag Strategy: Researched high-performing bridal hashtags to increase reach.

Social Media Impact

Follower growth: Increased audience reach since website revamp.
Higher engagement: More comments & shares on bridal prep content.
Booking Conversions: Direct DMs & website clicks leading to more inquiries.

6. The Impact: What I Learned & What’s Next

Since launching the new Glam I Do website and branding strategy, the business has seen incredible growth:

✔️ Increased bookings due to simplified scheduling & improved UX.
✔️ Stronger brand recognition with a cohesive digital & social media presence.
✔️ Better workflow efficiency with integrated payment & automation tools.

Future Goals:
